Change is Constant and Unexpected

Change is all around us. Sometimes, it's planned, and sometimes, it's not. Sometimes, it's good, but regardless, we need to be prepared for it. Preparing can feel daunting, but it does not need to be. We can help.

What is Catastrophic Ready?

Catastrophic Ready is an online platform where individuals and organizations can document their preparedness goals, record the details of their current efforts, and receive prioritized recommendations on what they need to do to reach their goals. Both Individuals and organizations will benefit by being a member of the Catastrophic Ready community:

IndividualsOrganizations
  • A clear understanding of their essential capabilities related to Water, Foor, and Power
  • A clear understanding of their capabilities around working remotely or onsite during a disaster
  • Prioritized list of items to address to increase their capabilities
  • Ability to participate with multiple organizations such as their employer, church, or other volunteer groups
  • Ability to track preparedness levels at multiple properties (Premium account feature)
  • Ability to maintain a detailed inventory of emergency food stores (Premium account feature)
  • A clear understanding of how well their team members are prepared for a disaster
  • A clear understanding of the organization's ability to continue operating during a disaster by understanding their team members' abilities to work remotely and on-site
  • A clear understanding of what the organization would not be able to do during a disaster

The common denominators in all of these scenarios are the employees and volunteers that make organizations run. If the individuals they rely on are not personally prepared not only to survive but thrive during a disaster, then those organizations need to plan to operate without their support. When you join an organization's team within the site, the organization will have high-level visibility into your preparedness level, which enables them to:

  • Develop their response plans, understanding who will and will not likely be available to assist the organization during a disaster
  • Identify areas where they can assist employees and volunteers with their preparedness efforts.

Current Site Status - Beta Mode

Change is constant, and that includes this site! Catastrophic Ready is currently in Beta Mode. This means it is fully functional, but undergoing refinement and continued feature development. If you find something that is confusing or not working properly, please use the help Support ticket feature to let us know!

Some days you awake to new neighbors, and your world has already turned upside down.

Sometimes you get to pick your neighbors, sometimes you do not. You can however be ready to respond.

Individuals

Our goal is to help you get ready through a simple (and free) process:

  1. Create an account
  2. Take an assessment survey
  3. Tell us your goals
  4. We will generate an assessment that shows your strengths, and areas where you can focus, along with suggestions on how best to address those areas.

While we intend to offer additional optional services at minimal cost, our intent is to always provide the basic assessment as a free service to an individual, and we hope you will take advantage of it.

Organizations

Every organization needs to plan for disasters, and your people are a critical to making that plan work. We are building a series of tools where you can encourage your people to create accounts, and they will have the option of  sharing of selected information with the organization related to their level of preparedness. These tools will allow you to better plan
